Orlando School of Thai Massage

Class Schedule

The advantages of OUR class are:

  1. Our unique approach to the teaching method that incorporates, not only a cognitive awareness of the work, but an envelopment of the work into your body.  We call it "the flow" and we use it to effectively learn and remember how to conduct your thai yoga massage session so it is both fluid and beneficial.
  2. Emphasis on safe yet effective biomechanics to save your hands while doing the fine and important work with your hands.
    1. biomechanics of your body and body position for proper force control/application
    2. biomechanics of the application of your pressure/stretch on hands, feet, fingers/thumb, etc...
  3. Teaching with a greater focus on incorporating the therapeutic benefits of yoga for both the practitioner and the client/receiver.
    1. As a yoga practitioner myself as well as an athletic trainer and massage therapist of more than 15 years of practice in stretching, I find this emphasis on conscious mutually beneficial movement allows me to provide many of these sessions a day invigorating me as I proceed instead of wearing me down.
    2. incorporating "the dance" or "FLOW" of thai yoga massage, which is an evolution of both the teaching and learning from the work in Thailand.
  4. FL/NCBTMB approved for CEUs !!

About the instructor:

Rob Murray is a 1998 Suma graduate of the University of Florida holding a double major emphasis in pre-medicine Exercise Physiology and Athletic Training with minors in French, Anthropology, and Chemistry.  In 2002, Rob began training for the 2006 Olympics in Torino in the sport of skeleton.  After narrowly missing a berth to the Olympics, he delved into his Thai heritage to learn about Thai yoga massage.  Since starting in 2006, this has transformed his massage practice and his desire now is to share his passion for this work.
